Lap Joint Flanges are pipe connection components whose core structure consists of two parts: a stub end and a movable backing flange (or flat face flange). This design allows the flange to rotate freely on the pipe, which makes it easy to align the bolt holes during installation.

Product Features
1. Cost savings
The flange can be made from a lower-grade material, while the stub end uses the same high-grade material as the pipe, thus lowering the overall cost.
2. Easy installation
The rotatable feature of the flange solves the problem of difficult alignment of bolt holes between equipment and pipe flanges, making it ideal for situations where equipment has not yet arrived but pipes need to be installed in advance.
3. Corrosion resistance
Stub End: This is typically made of the same highly corrosion-resistant material as the pipe, such as 316L stainless steel (containing molybdenum for chloride ion corrosion resistance) or 904L super austenitic stainless steel (for strong acid and alkali resistance).
4. Backing Flange
The movable flange can be made of carbon steel (galvanized or coated) to reduce costs. It only serves a connecting function and does not come into contact with the medium.
Product Advantages
Manufacturing Process
Socket Weld Flange are manufactured in strict compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
Production Process
From the selection of raw materials, through cutting, forming, welding, and heat treatment, to the final inspection, every step is subject to precise control and strict quality testing.
Equipment and Team
With advanced production equipment and a professional technical team, we ensure that every flange product has excellent dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
Isolation Design
The flange plate does not come into direct contact with the medium. The seal is achieved by tightening bolts against the stub end, which prevents corrosion of the main flange body.
Diverse sealing face types
Flange sealing surfaces come in various forms, such as Raised Face (RF), Flat Face (FF), and Male-Female Face (MFM), with the choice depending on different pressure classes and sealing requirements. The Raised Face is the most common type, and it is typically machined with a concentric or spiral serrated finish to enhance the sealing effect of the gasket.
